I would make the this almost flush with the car. Bump it out only enough to get the air into the scoop in the front. The lines you have are nice and clean and not cluttered throughout the car especially in the back so keep it that way. Allow it to be subtle and not look like an add on by putting the bulk of the scoop inside the car. Use the same metal that you used in the grill inserts in the front for the opening of the scoop. I hope this makes sense.

I find that high-tech gantry rare. I mean, only few are using them. It'll make a possible, beautiful outlook of a car in process, I guess. The works can also be easily done!

I notice that yes your having some issue with the body work, but that is understandable considering the issues you stated. The racepark? owner doesnt seem all that interested in helping with upgrading his bay for you, which speaks poorly of his foresight. The truth is I came to comment on just such issues, your work speaks for itself as well as your time invested, however I see the work eating into what else is necessary for you, perhaps you can use any weather downtime as you did earlier this year, to promote.
The fact that Blade stuck as a name, and the XTR, speaks pretty obviously to potential interest in contacting Wesley Snipes ( he didnt just act he helped produce--as well as those movies convinced more money be put into such). It may sound funny but this is marketing we are talking about as a premise to get more funding. As well, you know there are entertainment car officianados out there. Its not re-branding Im talking about but rather potential funding. Obviously I wouldnt get into your very serious issues of watching all the p's and q's in such, your a contractual worker you know what I mean.
Honestly, thats the main issue I wanted to check in finally here to see whats going on. I hate to see so much work drop onto deaf ears and I feel just the right break into the public eye would give your car wings, so to speak. Of course I dont know the particulars but I hope you either have some talent working on that for you, or at least the time to do so yourself. Im not from any car background myself, but I would think the reality of your situation in searching would be a need to get away from local or close individuals, because frankly its not in their best interest to help you over themselves. You need to look further to higher points of potential interest, and I hope that you can achieve just that.

Let me throw some links to you for thought or your own look if you got time-
--http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B...

Sorry in advance if Im just restating ideas or such youve had or overturned yourself, sadly thats a fact of internet notice compared to real-time :)
Hope to see more updated videos you said recently were coming, I despise facebook so no I wont go there, fills your computer with nonsense bandwidth eaters-- But the youtube videos were a stroke of genius apparent in your work. I do hope you never come there to post a video where the wife left and cut your car into bits some angry night, I know how texas weather can affect people, used to live in Houston.

See you round,
D

Devon J.
The window shield idea is good and the roof line blends nicely in to the tail and rear quarters. I would more consider playing with the shape of the window more so and a little less playing with the hard body lines you have for the new roof. Of course refinement is at its finest in full scale. Good luck.

Re: Blade XTR Coupe Concept

That's my favorite year model of vette as well. I like what you are trying to do with the design here. It needs much much more refining but it's getting there. I really can't say too much with just the one shot, trying to visualize in my mind what it looks like from other angles (It is kind of hard to tell what is and is not a pronounced body line because of your lighting setup). I will say that you need to pick between coupe and fastback. I think it looks great as it is. More specifically, I mean to say that you should have the coupe shell touch the back edge of the trunk lid's (or whatever you are calling it) surface. Kind of like how it reaches the back in the pic of the 63 below, that is what you need to achieve, just with different lines on the approach. I would maintain having the coupe shell come to a point as it hits the back, that looks great. One thing that would really help would be to take the exact same lines and intersection of the bottom of the shield glass and scale those lines up till they intersect at the back and use those lines to shape the way in which the coupe shell meets the trunk lid. That was hard to explain, I could better express that idea in a drawing but I hope you get what I mean. If you did do that though, it would look fantastic, because right now it feels wrong like the shape of the coupe shell and the shield glass are clashing.

Hope that helps, good luck continuing on your design.

Re: And it begins… a new Blog site.

Just making a test comment, some people said they had issues with it.

Re: Another day working on the Blade XTR!

I have been following the progress of this car on youtube.

Everything is bigger in Texas, so the only way to go is a big honkin' American V8, since petrol is so cheap here. American petrol-heads have an age-old saying, "There's no replacement for displacement." While turbocharging smaller engines is becoming more common these days now that oil prices are rising, it's hard to beat the mountain of low-range torque right off the line that you get from large-displacement American V8's. With a 400ci (~6.6 litre) naturally-aspirated V8, there's no lag when you step on the accelerator like you would get when you have to wait for large turbochargers to spool up.

Re: Another day working on the Blade XTR!

Hello, I'm from France.
I see all your videos on streetfire, youtube, that an amazing project !
Keep your camera with you and I hope you finish this car shortly !
